For my summer show last october, I had a new model who I thought looked amazing opening the show…Her name is Samantha Gradoville…she was wearing one of my favorite outfits…I was not surprised that few days ago, six months after my show, she opened and closed the Prada show in Milan…I knew this girl would go far !

‘Every moment of your life is an opportunity to fashion’ my grandmother was telling me…She was a very chic woman and wanted me to always comment on her outfits…Her two sisters, my other two grandmothers, had a couture atelier…I grew up in rooms full of fabrics and pins and perfumed women asking me my opinion about how they should look…I loved it and still love today…My grandmother was a wise woman.

Que peut-on dire de sa sœur lorsque l’on en a qu’une ?
J’adore ma sœur, c’est une personne rare et vraie, la plus honnête et passionnée que je connaisse.
En réalité, même si nous nous disputons beaucoup, j’estime que je ne serais pas celui que je suis sans elle…
Quand je regarde en arrière, nous avons vécu presque tout ensemble : du Disco à la Nouvelle Vague, de Barbie aux champignons hallucinogènes, ne parlant pas toujours, mais partageant d’une façon ou d’une autre la vie.
Elle voyage à travers le monde et travaille son art en Californie, à Madrid, en Afrique du Sud, à Berlin ou à Buenos Aires.
C’est une femme aventureuse, profonde. Etre à sa place peut faire rêver, même si cela n’est pas toujours facile. Je souhaite qu’elle réussisse tout ce qu’elle entreprend.
Notre dernier week-end sur la plage était un moment précieux.

What can anyone say about a sister, especially when you only have one? Well, I love mine and she is a real and profound person, the most honest and passionate one I know. Even if we fight a lot, I feel that without her I wouldn’t be who I am now…
When I go back into the past, I know we went through almost everything together: from Disco to New Wave; from Barbie to magic mushrooms; and not always talking, but somehow sharing life. Nowadays, she travels around the world doing her art in California, Madrid, South Africa, Berlin, Buenos Aires, she has been everywhere. My sister is adventurous and deep, sometimes I think that it is good to be her, though not always easy… And I wish her the best, especially in achieving everything she wants.
Our last weekend on the beach was so precious… Love you sister.
